Our telecommunications practice is headed by Oded Kahana, who also acts as in-house general legal counsel for Bezeq International Ltd., Israel's largest international phone operator and Internet Service Provider. Through the firms intensive and ongoing work with Bezeq International and other major telecom clients, LM has acquired unparalleled experience in the complex area of international telecommunications agreements, covering termination and traffic agreements, IRU/ROU agreements, data services, network infrastructure and collocation.

The firm's unique experience in working with the Ministry of Communications and our profound knowledge of regulatory and licensing issues, particularly in the area of telecom laws related to state-owned monopolies, provide our clients with a distinct advantage. LM accompanies technology companies through vendor agreements and tenders for network equipment and systems, as well as defending them against consumer protection claims.

  • Represented Bezeq International in establishment of international data networks for several of Israel largest enterprises, including Bank Leumi, Bank Hapoalim and Iscar
  • Represented Bezeq International in the process of receiving a domestic telephony license (Voice over Broadband) following a lengthy regulatory campaign
  • Major mergers and acquisitions in the Israeli telecommunications market, including, the purchase of the international data activity of Infonet Israel; the merger between Bezeq International Ltd. and Bezeqcall Communications Ltd.; and the purchase of Actcom (ISP) and Goldnet Communications by Bezeq International Ltd.
